Exploring the local area

SeaSintra boasts an ideal location for exploring some of Portugal’s true gems, as well as escaping the demands of busy life. Below are just a few of the places we’d recommend visiting during your stay

Sintra

Situated in the foothills of the Sintra mountains, the charming, pastel-colored town of Sintra is just a 15-minute drive from both villas. Visit the park and National Palace of Pena – a glorious fairytale-like palace set against a backdrop of lush forests and mountainous terrain – one of many of the town’s magical cultural sites that are a must-see.

Estoril Coast

If you’d like to combine some city sauntering with sea air, head west of Lisbon for the Estoril coast. A line of beautiful coastline that stretches from the Tagus river estuary out into the Atlantic ocean.
